Get to Know Me
Originally from Philadelphia, I moved to Mulhouse, France in 2019 to assistant teach English through Fulbright after finishing my journalism degree in Chicago. Four years of ESL teaching later, I decided to embark on a new adventure: a chef's life. I completed my CAP Cuisine and Mention Desserts while working in local restaurants, and now I'm launching my business through which I use food to make English-learning more fun and accessible.

My Experiences

1
Journalist
I've always loved food, and that includes writing about it. During my time at the Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism, I worked for the Chicago Tribune, writing about everything to eat, drink, and do in the city. And in Paris, I worked as an intern at the foodie TV show Très Très Bon, checking out all of the coolest restaurants.
2
English Teacher
After university, during which I worked as an English and French tutor for several years, I received a Fulbright grant to assistant teach English at a high school in France (Lycée Albert Schweitzer) -- and thus began my love affair with Mulhouse! Two years later, I then went on to teach English at the local university (Université de Haute Alsace) for two more years.
3
Freelance Chef & Baker
My professional reorientation was my first step towards a new adventure -- it wasn't easy going back to school in France at 26, but I learned so much taking classes in Strasbourg (CAP Cuisine, Certificat Desserts de Restaurant) and working at a hip wine bar and a fine-dining restaurant in Mulhouse. Now it's time for me to spread my wings and cook in my own kitchen!
4
Content Creator
Ever since arriving in Mulhouse, I somehow saw the city's potential and felt like highlighting it! Many Reels, views, comments, and opportunities later, I've built a great community and I'm grateful to be able to promote this town by working with partners like the Ville de Mulhouse and more. I share my life as an American in Alsace on social media, and I love it!
